Delivering the keynote address, Sri D N Munikrishna, Inspector General of Police, Karnataka Lokayukta, recalled the Chicago address of Swami Vivekananda, USA, on September 11, 1893, and quoted his message that "Every Soul is a potentially Divine", but one should unfold that potential hidden inside every minute. He said the world is one family of creation (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam) hence hate the sin but not the sinner. Describing the oneness of Atman in every living being, Mr Munikrishna articulated that unison of knowledge and implementation should be the two faces of that coin. Achievements of science and technology have improved our standard of life but not the real values according to our heritage and culture. He criticized the deteriorating values life and said supernatural knowledge has been converted to material benefits. He complimented SVYASA Yoga University and emphasized that it should become the beacon light to future builders of progressive India - 2020.
Prizes were awarded to successful teams who participated in the Himalayan Olympiad - 2007 in the age groups of 12 to 17, 18 to 24 and above 24 (Male and Female) from Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. The overall championship was given to state of Rajastan. Kumari Shely and Master Pawar from Maharashtra demonstrated their tremendous skills in most difficult "Yogaásanas".
