Both Hindustani and Karnataka music have identical phenomena The artistes demonstrated this phenomena during their performance under “Uttar-Daksini” at Mangala Mandir of the University. The performance was sponsored by South Central Zone Cultural Center Nagpur to build up good rapport between the artistes of both styles thus helping to understand the relative classicism in music It was not a jugal-bandi as many would call such performances Each artiste will act as audience listening to his counter part on the stage & encourage the mastery their styles The artistes took the raga bhava and completed according to individual “Manodharama “
R K Padmanabha took Kamavardhini (Karnataak Music) and Sachin Patwardan followed with Puria-kalyan ( Hindustani ) The close resemblance in aroha and avroha while delineating the raga bhava and crisp rendition of Kalpana- Svaras were splendorous.
