DR NAGENDRA’S TOUR PROGRAM TO HYDERBAD from 21st TO 26th October, 2007.

21-10-07:On this VIJAYA DASAMI, SUNDAY GURUJI INUAGURATED THE SVYASA’s DISTANCE EDUCATION STUDY CENTER AT Maharshi Valmiki
Vanaprasthashram, Biragiguda, Hyderabad. Sri Venkata Ramana, IAS, Principal.

Secretary to Govt of A.P in Secondary Education was the Chief Guest. Guruji was requested to help in incorporating yoga subject in the curriculum of teachers in Physical Education for the benefit of students in the entire State. Shri. Ranga Rao, President of the Ashram welcomed the gathering and Shri. Raghava Reddy proposed the establishment of the study center.
VIBHUTI, an organization for human development presented its ANNUAL VIBHUTI AWARD to Dr.Nagendra. The CITATION on his achievements that led him to win this award was read by Sri Sudershan Reddy, President, A.P State Yoga Association and the AWARD  was presented by the VICE PRESIIDENT of VIBHUTI Sri Anantakrishna Rao.This was followed by a CHAIN OF of FELICITIONS BY HUNDRED AND ODD ORGANIZATIONS IN YOGA, NATUROPATHY, ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES; YOGA TEACHERS and DISCIPLES. ON THIS FESTIVE MORNING, about 350 yoga lovers gathered at the Ashram.

22-10-07: The SVYASA TRIO (Guruji, Mohanji and Shatrughanji) conducted a 2-day full time SMET program. Sri Rangaiahji retired CEO of Bharat Dynamics Ltd welcomed Guruji and explained the benefits of SMET to 35 participants..

In the evening Guruji addressed 200 teachers and students of Sadhana Jyoti Mandir. Sri Narendra Bandhuji welcomed the gathering and requested Guruji to accord SVYASA University recognition.

23-10-07: After the conclusion of SMET program in the evening Guruji addressed a gathering of 100 yoga teachers and students of Hanuman Vyayamashala organized by sri Ravikishore and Sri Brij Bhushan Purohit.

24-10-07: The SVYASA TRIO started conducting the 3-day HOLSYM program inaugurated by Dr. K. Rajagopal the Vice-Chancellor of JNTU, the biggest Technological University of the State .The V.C WAS HIGHLY IMPRESSED and requested SVYASA to conduct programs on a continuing basis on their campus.
In the evening Guruji addressed the 90 inmates of the C.R Foundation OLD AGE HOME and advised them on reversing the process of ageing by practising yoga daily within their capacity and continue to render their active guidance to the Society. Prof Paradesi Rao translated Guruji’s address into Telugu.

25-10-07: In the early hours Guruji and Mohanji addressed nearly 200 yoga teachers and students each at Sri SHIRDI SAIBABA SAMSTHAN and GANDHI JNANA MANDIR. Later Mohanji proceeded to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Jubilee Hills to conduct yoga awareness class for 200 students of the school. 
GURUJI addressed a group of nearly 100 Doctors and Nursing staff at the Government Nilofer hospital on Stress Management. The Hospital Superintendent, Shri. Narasimha Rao JI and RMO Shri. Praveen were present and encourage the group in interacting with Guruji.
Evening there was a worker meeting of AP Yogadhyayana Parishad lead by Shri. Satyanarayana JI.

26-10-07:  The trio of SVYASA University concluded the 3-day HOLSYM Program at JNTU. Dr. GK Viswanath, World Bank assisted TEQIP program, requested SVYASA and VIBHUTI to conduct more and more programs for the benefit of Heads of Departments, Faculty, Students and Supporting Staff of JNTU under the special schemes.
A grand finale to the tour program was the scintillating address of Guruji at the Vivekananda Auditorium of Ramakrishna Math, Domalguda on YOGA IN DAILY LIFE. It was attended by total of 300 members. Swami Anupananda presided over this meeting and blessed the gathering. This program was arranged by VIBUTHI with the blessing of Swami Gnanadananda, president of the Math and Swami Srikantananda, Director of the Math’s Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence.

Inauguration of “Study Centre” at Hyderabad

A “study Centre” for distance education of SVYASA University was inaugurated by Dr H R Nagendra Vice-chanceller, SVYASA, a Yoga University, Bangalore on 21st October, 2007 at “Maharshi Valmiki Vanaprasthasram” near Bairagigudda, Manchirevula (P.O) Hyderabad -500 075, Andra Pradesh, Ph: 040-2419 1989.

The following courses of the university will be conducted from the study centre.

1. Yoga Certificate Course (YIC) 2 months
2. Diploma in Yogic Sciences (DYSc) 1 year
3. Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy (PGDYT) 1 year
4. Bachlor of Sciences (B.Sc in Yoga) 3 years.
5. Bachlor of Sciences (B.Sc in Vedic Culture) 3 years.

The desirious candidates from Andra Pradesh may take admission at the study centre, to study the above courses of SVYASA university through distance education. The contact classes will commence from January 2008 onwards.

After the inaugural function about 75 yoga organizations from Andhra Pradesh have felicitated Dr H R Nagendra and Sri T Mohan. From 22-26, October 2007 or two day's SMET program at Ashram and three day's Holsym programme at J.N.T University also were conducted by Dr H R Nagendra.

News from Australia and New Zealand 
“Sri.A.J. Asok Kumar and Smt.Shantha Asok Kumar toured Australia & New Zealand in  October this year. At Auckland in New Zealand. The Hindu Associaion had arranged classes on 14th and 15th on SMET & Pranayama.The program was well-attended. Svyasa will be shortly helping  them in  organising Yoga activities on daily basis at Auckland”
